- 3 cups red apples (chopped, you may peel the apples, but I find it to taste better with the peel - it also adds to the texture)
- 1 Tbsp. fresh parsley (chopped)

- 1 yellow onion (diced)
- 2 cups celery (sliced)
- salt
- salt and fresh ground pepper, to taste
- 2 cups low sodium chicken broth
- 1/2 Tbsp. sage (chopped)
