Dough was so gooey I could not “form into buns” instead made aluminium rings and filled with dough. After baking, the buns look fine.

Excellent! I used Krusteaz gluten free flour and it turned out great. They didn’t “rise” as much as wheat flour, but this is still the best gluten free buns recipe I’ve found on the web. Cook time for me using a stoneware cookie sheet was 1 hour, 5 minutes. Picture shown: dough, and after baking with added ingredient of minced dried garlic on top.
