I made this as written but tweaked a few things. I added a TBSP of bourbon, I did not peel the apples, and coated apples lightly with lemon. I also added a single serving of apple instant oatmeal that I then coated apples. For spices I added 2 TbSP of apple pie spice, one tablespoon of cinnamon and 1/2 tsp ground cloves and 1 tsp nutmeg plus tsp of vanilla. I had used 6 mid size honey crisp apples.
The pie was fantastic. I baked pie abut 50 min minutes at 350. 10 minutes before the pie was finished I brought the dish out of the oven and using a narrow spoon. I fold it over the top parts that had not gotten toasty And added some of the juice on the bottom to the top. Thank you for this easy easy, recipe with basically no special ingredients.

Excellent!! I coated the apples with brown sugar, ground nutmeg and little cinnamon also

So easy to make! All the ingredients are what we usually have in the pantry, so this was very stress-free! Thank you so much

Followed recipe exactly and it was perfect! I’ve tried other crumbles and I think this one has the best balance using 3/4 cup sugar. Other ones I’ve made have been too sweet. Can’t wait to try this crumble on home grown peaches next year!

This recipe is a winner! Super simple and it tastes amazing! I drizzled the apples in honey instead of putting sugar in the flour and it was plenty sweet. I recommend letting it go the full 40 minutes so that the topping can actually get crumbly.

Loved this recipe. Easy to make and yummy I added about 1/2 cup rolled oats for just a little crunch. It may be easy but it serves like a go to company dish. Think a dollop of whipped cream on top!

Super easy for my 7 yr old boy to help. I substituted about 1/4c of brown sugar and added a handful of oats.

I made this with pears last year a lot when we had our pear tree produce a ton of pears. Great recipe!!!

Easy and really good! Had blueberries that needed using so added them to the apple mixture and it turned out delicious.

Delicious! Great with vanilla ice cream! Didn’t need the full 40 minutes in the oven, keep checking from about 20 minutes.

I added honey over the apple slices, used non stick spray to coat pan. This recipe turned out great!! Used fresh apples from an orchard nearby! A definite favorite!!

It was a bit sweet so I might pull back on the sugar and use brown sugar instead but apples turned out great and serving size was spot on

Extremely easy to make but tastes as though it took a lot more effort. The topping was crunchier than I had expected. I used ramekins and just added a dollop of butter to the bottoms before adding the slices. Delicious!

I love this recipe. So quick, easy and delicious. I have made it at least six times using different fruit (apple, mango, mixed berries).
