Delicious. I will definitely make this again.
Normally I use my crockpot, but wanted to try something different and of course I do love the Dutch oven too so decided to give this a try. Boy was this roast the best one I have ever had. We used an excellent wine - 1999 Sterling Cab reserve which really came through. ( of course we also had to drink with the finished dinner too). Every one raved and this is now a favorite.

Delicious, perfect fro a cool September Sunday Dinner! Used Ménage a Trois red wine, three red blend for cooking and drinking (f the wine is not good enough to drink, certainly, don’t cook with it). Fresh thyme from the herb garden, nice blends, little effort 😉 I did remove the beef from the pan while browning the onions and garlic.

this is great, I made a few changes, left out the wine, and added some corn at the end, will try this again with the wine, salute!

Great! I use it multiples times. It's a family favorite. I've used arm roast as well as pot roast. Substituted ketchup for the tomato paste.
