- 1 pkg. rice cakes (tube shaped Korean)
- water (to soak the rice cake)
- 2 Tbsp. sesame oil
- 3 large carrots (peeled and chopped)
- 1 zucchini (large, unpeeled and chopped)
- 1 red bell pepper (large, sliced into thin pieces lengthwise)
- salt
- freshly ground pepper
- 5 cups water
- 4 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1/3 cup gochujang (or korean red pepper paste)
- 8 oz. mushrooms (any kind, sliced)
- 2 cups fish cake (Korean fish, cut into triangles, optional)
- 2 pkg. ramen noodles (discard the powder packets, you will only use the noodles)
- 1 Tbsp. flour (or cornstarch, if needed to thicken the sauce)
- 5 stalks green onions (cut into ½ to 1 inch pieces plus diced, for garnish, optional)
- roasted sesame seeds (for garnish, optional)
