- 1/2 cup rolled oats (used Quaker Old Fashion Oats)
- 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks softened)
- 3/4 cup light brown sugar (packed tightly)
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp. pure vanilla extract (used 2 tsp.)
- 1/2 tsp. lemon juice (freshly squeezed, had a Meyer lemon and juiced that)
- 2 large eggs (I let them come to room temp. before adding them to the mix)
- 2 1/4 cups unbleached all purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. canela
- 3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped pecans (recipe called for walnuts but I had plenty of pecans)
