It was not bad, but very heavy on paprika so not the most remarkable taste. Added carrots and served over rice.

We loved this recipe,lots of flavor. My family loves it. I mixed my own Berbere spice to make it less spicy for my 9 year old.

Awesome! I used lemon juice, but a bit less than is called for. Yumm! I also made the spiced ghee, which was really fun. Now I have the extra by my stove and I’m using it in fried rice, fried eggs, etc. I also used a can of crushed tomatoes instead of tomato paste, and chicken broth instead of water. It was a hit army dinner party!
