Turned out great! I cut a slit in the tops. Cookie edges were light and flaky and center with the dates was sweet, but not too sweet. I think a tablespoon of the filling is too much, so I just eyeballed it, probably 2/3 of a tablespoon. Really happy with how they turned out!
