  • 1 jalapeno (/Green Chilies, as per taste)
  • 2 inches ginger (peeled and grated)
  • 3 cloves garlic (finely chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 pinch asafoetida
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder (Cumin-)
  • 1 teaspoon fenugreek leaves (dried, kasuri methi)
  • 1 tablespoon jaggery (grated, or as per taste - see Tips)
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped onions (optional and cilantro sprigs for garnish)
