- 2 cans tomato sauce (plain, 8 ounce cans)
- 2 packets sazon goya (This is a seasoning packet that mainly adds color and a tiny bit of flavor boost. If you can't find it, just skip it)
- 1/2 Tbsp. salt
- 1/2 onion (finely chopped, about 1/2 cup)
- 3 large carrots (chopped)
- 1 large potato (cut into 1" squares)
- 5 cups chicken broth
- 5 cups water
- 1/2 tsp. dried oregano
- 1/2 lemon (large, about 2 tbsp)
- 8 oz. noodles (dried spaghetti, half a box)
- chopped cilantro (Fresh, for ganish, totally optional!)

It was so good I did add garlic. I added red pepper flakes and jalapeño to my bowl. My children loved it!

Turned out good! I'll experiment with a different tomato sauce i.e. Garlic and herbs or sausage. You can do without the cilantro.......I personally think it's gross as do many of my family members. Remember it is a garnish so you do not add it to the batch, just put a little in your own bowl if you are going to have it. I also think you could probably add an extra cup of both water and broth. The consistency ended up being more like a stew and not a soup. Finally I would add a little kick to it. I would say some jalapeño peppers would go great in this. Definitely worth a try.
