    Really good. This is pretty easy to make. I have lived in Tampa and Miami so have eaten a lot of restaaurant and homemade black beans. I made this andvserved over whitevrice and topped with a little chopped onion (Tampa style). The entre' was pork carnitas and flan for desert. FYI, my heritage is Irish but i love most ethnic foods.

    I added mushroons, a squeeze of lime and served it on top of some mashed sweet potato. Yum!

    Super easy and quick. Served ours with beef sirloin steak/chimichurri sauce (from TraderJoes), red quinoa with corn, and fresh greens with goat cheese and cucumber...exquisite!

    Crazy good flavor. The extra half can of water isn’t necessary. I added half a jalapeño for a little kick and upped the spices to taste.

    had to improvise since i only had red kidney beans on me, but added extra veggies, green chillies, loads of coriander, a splash of chicken stock and it was amazing with sour cream and some pasta. definitely a great weeknight dinner, just a bit of extra prep time if adding more veggies.
