We found it rather bland. We added tomato paste and chipolte peppers with adobo sauce, 5 cloves of garlic and pinch of sugar. its quite tasty now.

I doubled the recipe and added diced jalapeños, sage sausage along with the hamburger and ancho chili powder. I also substituted petite diced tomatoes for the regular diced tomatoes. A huge success.
