My fiance and family loved it! I used Tony Chachere's More Spice to season it. So yummy and so easy!

Delicious recipe never made it this way I'm used to cooking the rice and the beans together and in the south we use field peas instead of black-eyed peas. I chose this recipe because It didn't have many ingredients very tasty

Love this recipe & so does my husband (as well as his friend at work he shared some with)! I have made it several times. Both in large iron skillet on stovetop and in my crock pot. I take a short cut by using 1 bag of the frozen seasoning blend/mix so I don't HAVE to chop the onions & peppers. Being the good southern girl that I am, I use "the Trinity" and include chopped celery (which the seasoning blend has ;) and "Tony's" (Tony Chachere's Creole Seasoning). I also add about 2 tablespoons of Stevia and minced garlic because I put garlic in almost everything savory. The listed recipe works great and is super quick, but I have made the recipe using dried blackeyed peas and slow cooked it overnight for the crock pot version. In addition to sausage I have added chopped ham and also chopped bacon. We eat it without the rice for "slow carb" purposes but I am sure using it over rice makes it extra delish! Thanks to Molly for posting this recipe!
