- 2 Tbsp. fresh tarragon (or thyme (or 2 to 3 tsp dried))
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tsp. kosher salt (if the broth is unsalted use 2-1/2 tsp salt)
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 cup half and half ((or heavy cream))
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 tsp. xanthan gum (optional thickener, mixed with 1/2 tbsp olive oil)
