I changed just about everything in this this recipe but still used it for a base (temperature and time). I used less potatoes, added one turnip and fresh peas. Also 1/2 cup V8 juice and one small can of tomato paste. I didn't have any beef broth so I used chicken stock. I browned the meat with flour and all seasonings then put in veggies and liquid. It turned about amazing. Guess it turned out more like Irish Beef Stew. Will definitely make again.

turned out great but i added a can of fire roasted tomatoes, 1 cup of frozen peas for extra veggies and some spices for flavor.

Add a TBSP of Jimbo's Beef Rubb and it REALLY gets terrific. I am a beef stew maniac.

Watery, and bland. as well. Too much potatoes.

Good basic recipe to build on. I added 3 star anise, 1 teaspoon fennel, and 1 teaspoon coriander seeds in a teabag.

More like a soup rather than a stew, but tasty!

Turned out great I kinda went astray from the directions, but just a little.
