I added red chili flakes to mine, fresh garlic, and used a little Stella Artois. Cooked on high for 4 hours then took the lid off and let some of the liquid reduce down (about 5-10) minutes, just keep an eye on it. Then I shredded it and the chicken soaked up all of the juices. Turned out perfect! Added sliced onion second time.

My husband and I enjoyed this! I think I used 12 oz of beer instead of 8 oz but it wasn’t too runny and wasn’t too thick. We put them in warps with lettuce and cheese.

Watery. The concept was good but just didn’t turn out how I hoped.

I made it last night and I added chopped onions why it was cooking. It was absolutely delicious.

This smelled amazing while it was cooking but the sauce came out rather watery and seemed to lack flavor (used sweet baby rays and yuengling). I would try making slow cooked bbq chicken again but wouldn’t use this recipe. Gave the recipe 2 stars because it was at least edible.

Cooked on low and followed all directions. Chicken actually got dry and tasted overdone, despite having tons of liquid in slow cooker. Maybe it was the bbq sauce? I used Ol West BBQ and Dipping Sauce . . .

Turned out great! I even user a cheap beer (Busch) because it was all I had. I'm sure it would be even better with a better quality beer.

My first ever slow cooker meal. I used a full 500ml bottle of Kinnegar Devil's Backbone amber ale and two bottles of Santa Maria BBQ sauce. In the spirit of creativity, I also added a tablespoon of muscovado sugar. It was absolutely great!

Turned out great! I used St. Arnold Art Car IPA and Private Selection Memphis sauce. I also cut the recipe in half

This was good. It was a little runnier than I would like but from what other people are saying, it has a lot to do with what brand of BBQ sauce you use. Fast and easy way to make bbq chicken sandwiches.

So good, I used Sweet Baby Ray's sauce and Heavy Seas Loose Canon IPA. I like the idea of trying a different beer and a different sauce each time. By mistake I grabbed chicken thighs at the grocery store, and it still turned out good.

Great meal to take to parties or picnics. I experiment with different BBQ sauce and beer every time I make it and it's still just as good each time
