I used this recipe as a base for ingredients I had on hand. I made many changes
as a result.
Bread: Homemade Peanut Butter Bread.
Sugar: Reduced to 2/3 c white sugar & 1/3 c brown sugar.
Chocolate: Used 1 c semi-sweet chips and 4 squares dark (100%) baker's square, chopped.
Half & Half: Scant 1/2 c Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk + some plain Greek yogurt
to thicken.
Vanilla: Omitted; Added large dollap (?-2 Tbls Chunky Peanut Butter).
Cooked on low 2.5 hours.
Note: some of the bread cubes on the bottom didn't get chocolate soaked. Maybe layer the sauce over half the bread then on top?
