I made this dish tonight & my husband and I loved it. I couldn't find Cream of Onion Soup so I used Cream of Chicken & a couple of packs of Onion Soup. I have read that some people didn't like the tortillas because they became mushy. We didn't even notice. My husband is not a fan of sour cream so I didn't put it on it. I was gonna put it on top of my helping but it had so much flavor that I didn't even use it. This is definitely a dish we will have again. Like my husband said this is a good dish for those cold winter nights cause it almost ate like a soup.

Overall the recipe was quite tasty. I made a few modifications for more spice and heat. The one thing I did not like and would strongly advise against is using the tortillas in the casserole. The comments on the website said that they didn't add the tortilla strips until an hour before because they came out soggy. The tortilla strips were absolutely disgusting, like uncooked dough or pitiful noodles. To be honest, I'm not certain why they were included in the recipe. If you'd like to use the tortillas to make burritos with the casserole as a filling, that would be preferable to the mushy goop they cooked down to. The tortillas were a bad, bad idea, but everything else was fine. Not sure I'll make this again.
