I think adding pineapple chunks would make it even better. I cut the chicken into chunks before cooking it. I thought it would cook more evenly that way and cook faster. That also gave me the opportunity to dust the chicken chunks with corn starch before cooking and eliminate the step of taking chicken out and then adding it back in. After my chicken was chunked and dusted, I put it in the crockpot and poured the sauce on top and let it cook for about 2 hours. It was easy and everyone liked it so I will be making this again.

I made this in a skillet. Put the sauce stuff in 1st, gave it a whirl then threw a handful of schwanns frozen chicken breast bites and let that simmer for 20 maybe 30 mins. didn’t add the pepper and served it over rice.. We both loved it!! I’ll make it again for sure!

Instant Favourite!
Followed the recipe as is, and everyone was a fan. It took just over three hours in our crock pot, and there was plenty of sauce…which we like! This was by far the most tender chicken I have ever brought to the table. Give it a try if you are a honey garlic fan. You’ll be pleased!

I thought the meal was very tasty and the using the crock pot made it easy for me to throw the ingredients in and go run errands.
