Fantastic. It did not need to cook as long.. 4 hrs was sufficient. I could not find Yukon Gold. I got some regular yellow potatoes. Super creamy!!!

The first batch was awful- there were no Yukon Gold potatoes anywhere in the little town I live in. But there were “gold” potatoes under the store brand which I bought and used for this recipe. The potatoes did NOT cook completely- even after 10 hours in the crockpot! I tried to use them anyway- but they never completely were mashable- they just didnt cook thoroughly- that being said I threw the first batch out and proceeded to use a good organic russet potato and the recipe made great mashers! Having learned a good lesson here I highly recommend this recipe- just use Yukon Gold or a good russet potato!
