it was a bit sweet but not a lot of flavors other than that. It wasn't bad, but I'll probably try another recipe next time. It didnt really hit my "Bourbon chicken" craving.

Loved it!!! Substituted Worcestershire instead of soy sauce and turned out yummy! Served with white rice!

Too sweet. My kid and hubby liked but I didn’t eat mine. Maybe do less sugar

So after I prepped everything in the slow cooker and turned on. I read the reviews. I was disappointed to see that so many people did not like this recipe and thought I probably should have read the reviews before I decided to make this dish. Well I have to say it turned out great. The hubby and even my 14 and 12-year-old boys loved it. substitutions I did was I used fat chicken breasts rather than thighs, I cooked them for 4 1/2 hours on low. used apple cider rather than apple juice because that is what I had on hand. I used crushed red pepper flakes instead of chili flakes because that is what I had on hand. It was sweet with a little hot kick yummy 😋

Very flavorful and delicious! I was a little worried that it would have a strong bourbon flavor, but it mellowed nicely. We used chicken breast, added a little extra pepper flake and a little bit of wildflower honey. A nearly perfect blend of sweet and spicy. Serves well over wild rice. My kids loved it. We will definitely be making this one again.

It was perfect!!! Just the right amount of sweet and spice!! Did have to add a little more corn starch slurry to thicken it up though!

This was good. My husband really enjoyed it. I had trouble thickening the sauce and I thought it needed more seasoning. Next time I'll add a little more red pepper to make it spicer.

My husband and I don't usually like dark meat. However, this was delicious and I saved WW smart points by substituting vanilla extract for the bourbon!

This is a winner in our house. I will try several dashes of Worcestershire next time to see if it will deepen the flavor and kick it up to 6 stars.

Delicious! I did use the low sodium soy sauce though and I think that’s why my sauce didn’t thinkin AS much, but still DELICIOUS ◡̈

really enjoyed this recipe, did add some diced red bell pepper and some sliced mushrooms which I thought was needed. Glenn

Really wanted to like it - and it's quite good, especially in the long-form slow cooker. I let it go for 7 hours, the meat was super tender. But the sauce for me was missing something - didn't have quite enough bottom end and was overall, sweet and ginger-y. I added some Sriracha which gave it punch. I only had low sodium soy sauce at home, perhaps that was part of the problem.

Very good. Everyone loved it. I put it over some rice with vegetables in it making it a one dish meal.

This was really good. Very easy to make. I substituted champagne vinegar for the cider vinegar because I didn't have any. Will make again

Pretty awesome dish! It was easy to make, and the flavors blended well. Thanks for the recipe.

Absolutely delicious, the kids love it!! I would definitely only do a max of about 6 hours on low unless you are okay with your chicken getting a little mushy, then it ends up being more shredded than chopped.

My husband really loved it!! Super easy and tasty. I really never think to eat chicken thighs...this was great and inexpensive.
