This turned out really well, but the sauce flavor would be even better with less fat/oil flavor from the meat! Based on the other reviews, I didn’t slice my meat really thin and I only cooked it for about 5 hours, and it was tender and delicious! I also cooked my broccoli separately and threw it together at the end.

i am going to Increase the Brown sugar to make it sweeter, but it was still delicious

Not bad flavor, but the 6 hour cook time was too long. Meat was falling apart and stringy.

I added onions and green peppers with roasted sesame seeds on top. Everyone loved it.

Good but should have read reviews first! Next time will use either a bit less or low sodium soy sauce and will add some onions, ginger, and sambal or red pepper flakes.

Meat was tender and flavorful. Probably need to double recipe next time as not quite enough for four people.

This was really tasty. Next time I would double the liquid portion and the meat-just for more leftovers!

This turned out ok. However, the cook time was way too long. The meat was not in strips anymore, it was shredded and the meal turned into a stew. The flavor was ok though.

I believe the cuts of steak I used were too thin, they completely disintegrated in the crock pot and turned into a thick salty mess. Most likely my fault- I would try this again in a pan on the stove and perhaps it would work out.

It was really good for my first try. The flavor was excellent and I didn't have Sesame Oil, so it was left out. My only complaint was the broccoli was too soft. Next time I know to adjust the time it cooks. Will definitely make again!

Good meal - used stew meat which broke down over the 9 hours of slow cooking. Sauce had cooked down so thickness wasn’t an issue. Next time will use low sodium soy sauce to help with the saltiness.

Delicious! Followed exact instructions, but I added sliced carrots with the broccoli. This is a keeper!!

My whole family loved it! Broccoli was surprisingly crunchy & tender. We will be making this again!

This was very delicious. Put the sauce on the stovetop to thicken the sauce. My 3 year old even went back for seconds.

Super average 😒 couldn’t get the sauce to the right consistency, cooked 3 hours on high & meat was tough... won’t try again.

Flavor is really great, however I would recommend-toning down the cook time. The suggested time I’m sure works well with modern slow cookers, but for our super old cooker it’s a bit long. If you’re using an older model I would recommend 3 hrs on low. Everything else about this recipe is great!
