- 1 lb. andouille sausage
- 1 green bell pepper (seeds removed and chopped)
- 1 1/2 cups long grain rice (uncooked white)
- 1 lb. shrimp (extra jumbo, 16/ 20, peeled and deveined)

You have to make it your own.
I sautéed andouille sausage, onions, garlic, and celery and okra in a large pot with a splash of olive oil until the okra was soft. I added cayenne pepper, thyme, oregano, gumbo file’, Tony Chacheres, and garlic powder to the sauté mix. I poured in 2 small cans of tomato sauce and reduced heat. While that simmered, in a separate skillet, I melted salted butter and sautéed shrimp until the were pink on both sides. I poured that into the simmering sauce and let it cook another 15 on a very low fire. Once it was to my desired consistency, I removed from the heat and served over a bed of jasmine rice!!! Delicious

This came out very good , I made it in my crockpot . The only problem i find is keeping the shrimp from not getting overcooked. Even though I added it for the last 4 minutes and it was fine, after it sat in the jambalaya for ten minutes it was overcooked and mushy
