Very good. It did take way longer for me than the recipe said, but it was worth the wait!

I used fresh black-eyed peas and large ham bone for flavor, along with all the recipe’s other ingredients. I used large stovetop cooking pot, Brought ham bone with some added water to a boil. Took bone out and sauté onions, green bell pepper, celery, then returned hambone to pot. Basically, I used recipe ingredients and cooked on top of stove until peas were tender. My husband said it was the best he has had. I’m not a fan of instant pot cooking. Thanks for a future, year after year, black-eyed peas recipe.

I found this to be very yummy. Made it with canned black eye peas so helped cut down the cooking time. Used veggie broth and added a bit at a time but probably no more than one cup. A bit spicy as well but worth it

BOMB! Ate over brown rice. Cut in half for 2 servings. Used yellow & red bell instead of green. Added a bay leaf, full amount of cayenne and celery, plus 1/8 of smoked paprika, pinch of thyme and basil. Seasoned upon each veggie addition to the pan. Use broth instead of water! (only 1c as I had canned peas). Needed to simmer only 30 min.

It came out better than expected. I added more seasoning because I love my food very seasoned. Overall it was fantastic...tomorrow I think I will take it up another step “cornbread!”

Great!!! I love this recipe. This is the second time I have prepared it and won’t be the last

Made this for New Year’s Day. I had to use frozen black eyed peas since all the markets were out of dry. Worked fine. I over did the cayenne a bit so the spice was a bit edgy for our tastes. It needed something additional but not sure what.

I made this for New Year’s Day to accompany a baked ham. I used Rotel tomatoes with green chilies and so replaced the cayenne and hot sauce with 1 tsp Creole seasoning. It was fantastic! And the leftovers the next day we’re even better.

I have made this recipe twice now and it is absolutely delicious!!! The second time I prepared this recipe I browned some vegan breakfast sausage and it didn’t disappoint. This recipe is versatile and I will make it often. 🍴✌️

Very good- have made twice now. Used frozen blackeyed peas and veg broth to make it fast.
