    The family found it very tasty but I felt like it was too rich! I should have expected that with heavy cream and butter but wow I could only have a few bites! Maybe make it with half and half instead? Might try that if I make it again.

    Excellent base recipe. Add: garlic powder Onion powder Salt Pepper Smoked paprika All to taste, in addition to Cajun seasoning you’re taste buds will thank you. Use a non spicy sausage if you’re spice adverse. I used a bourbon (not sweet) chicken sausage came out amazing keeping this one in the rotation.

    This was okay. I used hot sausage and more vegetables, but I still wanted it to be more flavorful.

    We used a homemade Cajun ground sausage and this was so good. The kids thought it was a little too spicy but we all loved it regardless. I know the sausage I used was spicy. I eliminated the creole seasoning because with that and the spice in the sausage it would have likely been too much. Can’t wait to try variations of this with different meats. This recipe is a keeper!
