- 1 roasted red pepper (jarred or fresh, sliced)

- 1/4 cup capers (4 Tblsps of, plus more for topping)
- 1 tsp. Italian herbs (mixed)
- 400 grams plum tomatoes (whole)
- 1 tsp. balsamic vinegar
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 cup cream (see notes)
- 1/2 cup fresh Parmesan cheese (grated, plus more for topping)
