A kickin’ homemade version of hamburger helper. I opted out of store bought taco seasoning to avoid the added sodium. Instead I used cumin, cayenne pepper, chili pepper and ground chipotle pepper.

It was a bit bland. So I added a touch of hot sauce and ground cumin. That put it over the top. All in all, fair recipe.

Good quick dinner for the family. Could use a little more flavor. Will try with Velveeta next time instead of the Mexican blend, or maybe some hot sauce??? Ok, but just needs something.
