- 3 sweet potatoes (medium-large, this should yield 2½ cups of mashed sweet potatoes)
- 1/2 cup yellow onion (minced, this was ½ of a yellow onion for me)
- 1 Tbsp. minced garlic (this was 3 cloves for me)
- 2 tsp. olive oil
- 1 1/2 cups broccoli (minced, this was ½ of a crown of broccoli for me)
- 2 3/4 cups organic chicken broth (make sure there is no sugar in the ingredient list)
- 2 Tbsp. coconut flour (I like Nutiva)
- 1 1/2 cups coconut cream (one 14 ounce can, I like Savoy)
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
- 1/8 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. rubbed sage
- 4 slices bacon (nitrate free, crumbled)
- crumbled goat cheese (optional-, skip to make the soup strictly Paleo)
