- 1 onion (medium, chopped)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 16 oz. diced tomatoes (Italian-style)
- 8 oz. tomato sauce
- 1 cup half and half
- 1 tsp. dried basil leaves
- 12 oz. penne pasta (get a 16 ounce box and use 3/4 of it)
- grated Parmesan (for topping)

Loved it used a 15oz can tomato sauce didn’t want to waste half the can. Used Italian seasoning too and plain diced tomatoes along with half and half. Everyone loved it!

This was very good. I didn’t have heavy cream so I used sour cream. Tasted a lot like vodka sauce (without the vodka). My daughter who doesn’t like sausage ate the pasta and went back for seconds. I will make again.

i enjoyed this recipe it was great just like it is no modifying. but i think next time I'm going to do it with a sauce, not sure weather a creamy tomato /. cheese creamy sauce, ill let you know how it turns out.
