- freshly cracked black pepper (to taste)
- kosher salt
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 small yellow onion (diced)
- 1 cup sliced cremini mushrooms
- 4 oz. white button mushrooms
- 3 cloves garlic (finely chopped)
- 1 cup chicken stock (or broth, preferably homemade)
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 Tbsp. Cajun seasoning (~ I used my local grocer's Cajun blend)
- 1 tsp. smoked paprika (~ can use regular if that's what you have)
- egg noodles (cooked, for serving)

It turned out perfect! A little salty but still good.. need to find a Cajun spice without added salt and that might make it even better!

Delicious.. I made my own Cajun seasoning. The sauce was excellent and I would like a little more liquid. The next time I will add more broth. I use beef broth and my partner loved it.

Turned out well, I tweaked it a bit. I browned it still then baked it at 350 for 20 minutes. I let it sit out for a few minutes then finished it in the sauce.

Made this for dinner last night and the kids ate it up! There's not a lot you can do to make pork chops taste different but this did it. The bay leaf and cayenne gave it a wonderful flavored gravy. I would definitely make it again.
