I was craving creamed peas and I tried this easy recipe. I had some celery and onion left over from another dish I made, so I decided to add some to the peas. All I had for lunch was a bowl of creamed peas. Yum. What I like was the creamed part was just perfect. The measurements were all perfect and the sauce coated the peas really nice. I also used half and half instead of milk. Here in Texas I never see creamed peas on a menu, buffet, or get- together with friends. I am from Illinois and back there I ate creamed peas often.
