This is a recipe that I grew up on. I'm 60 years old now. We used pineapple pie filling on top, though . It had become a staple dessert, requested by many until I couldn't find dream whip anymore I used cool whip and it was ok but just not exactly the way I remembered it I recently found dream whip in the grocery store, so I'm going to make this dessert to celebrate my mothers ' 94th birthday family picnic.
