These did not turn out well for me, very dry and not a great deal of flavour. I’ve made similar recipes that I’ve enjoyed far more. I’m giving it 2/5 stars instead of 1 because part of it may be the brownie mix I used.

This was just ok mostly because it didn’t come out as expected. The cream cheese layer does taste good but wasn’t executed well. I followed the directions step by step, but my brownie batter rises more on the side, pushing the cream cheese layer to the center. Definitely not two nice layers. Then to top it off; I added extra time from even what the box suggested because it wasn’t cooking all the way through. Even after 10 extra minutes it still wasn’t cooked all the way on the brownie layer, but the cheesecake type layer was definitely done (cooking any longer would have dried out the cream cheese layer too much I think). I might try it again another time by starting to cook the brownie layer partially and then adding the cream cheese part way through.
