- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 3/4 cup buter (salted, 3.5 sticks)
- 3/4 cup ice cold water
- 7 cups apples (peeled, cored, and sliced, 1/2 inch thick, I used gala + honeycrisp)
- 1/4 cup cranberries (fresh or frozen)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. cloves
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 tsp. lemon zest
- 2 Tbsp. butter (cut into chunks to dot the filling with)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 1 Tbsp. milk (for egg wash)
- coarse sugar (for topping the crust)
- 2 Tbsp. maple syrup
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 5 Tbsp. heavy cream (or milk)
