not too good. way too soupy. i think the recipe means 2 cups coffee OR 2 cups water. Not Both!! Otherwise ok. I'll try again without the water

Best cowboy beans I’ve had. Having lived in Texas for 11 years, that’s saying a lot. Texans really know how to put on a good barbecue. These are at the top of my list and I will be making them a lot. The only change I made was a substitute for the ham hock with pork necks, same price but a lot more meat.

Amazing! Delicious even without the cheese or sour ceam garnish. I substituted the pickled jalapeno for a fresh diced jalapeno. Will absolutely make again.

My husband had a craving for beans and saw this recipe. We made it as instructed, but did add some chorizo and jalapeño. What a super nice recipe. Beans are done perfectly, just the right amount of sauce. Never gonna be afraid to make beans from scratch again. Hubby already thinking about another batch. This is 220 calories per serving. Serves 8
