Such a fun recipe! Rolling the cake was so fun.
It tasted a little dry and didn't have much flavor, but this was an easy recipe to learn the technique. I plan to make another roll using a homemade cake and filling.
Ingredients:
The recipe asks for 2, but it only took 1 can of frosting to do both the inside and outside.
Note:
If you don't have enough sprinkles, just frost the cake normally and sprinkle them on top. (Or simply dust with powdered sugar or cocoa powder.) I tried carefully rolling my frosted cake in the sprinkles as directed, but apparently my sprinkle layer wasn't deep enough. The frosting came off in the pan, ruining my cake's good looks. Don't let it happen to you.
Tip:
Just before serving, cut the ends off the cake roll to show off the beautiful spiral design. It really makes a difference! (Though it tastes equally good either way.)
