- 1 cup light brown sugar (firmly packed, 8 oz)
- 3/4 tsp. kosher salt (Diamond, if using Morton's scale back to 1/2 tsp)
- 3 oz. bittersweet chocolate (finely chopped)
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 3 Tbsp. dark rum (coconut rum, or cognac, optional)
