I switched things up based on what I had in the pantry. Used almond milk instead, still turned out pretty good.

Wasn’t bad but wouldn’t make it again. Would just prefer oatmeal with all the same fixings,

I had to use plain tan quinoa and full fat coconut milk and forego the bananas. I think I used too much salt so I also added some honey and brown sugar to balance it out. The only problem I have with the recipe is the amount of vanilla it uses. Not that it isn’t delicious, it’s just a lot of expense, unfortunately. Thank you, I’ll try it again correctly someday when I’m hungry again. :) It’ll be a while!

Mmm, I've been meaning to try this for a while, and I finally did! I love coconut, and it was really yummy with these ingredients. I also added blueberries, as I like a bit more fruit in my "cereal" :)

Right up my alley! Loved the texture! Only had walnuts so used those, and substituted apples for banana. Also added nutmeg, ground ginger, and allspice. The doctor said I should have more whole grains in my diet and this is perfect. I’m thinking of trying it savory style next time by adding miso or curry instead of vanilla. I did use full fat coconut milk and was pleasantly surprised by the level of sweetness. Yummy!

I ended up needing to add a bit more coconut milk (I used full fat, unsweetened). I also drizzled agave. Nice flavor and interesting crunchy texture.

This was very good. I made it to recipe with one exception. I did not have quinoa on hand. Instead I used a quinoa/amaranth/millet blend. I saw comments about the level of sweetness, but I prefer mildly sweet, so for me it was perfect, allowing all the other flavors to shine. I will make it again.

I deviated from the recipe some by doubling the amount of quinoa, doubling plus adding extra coconut milk and some soy milk, which allowed the quinoa to cook further without any liquid leftover. Then, as an idea spurred by another reviewer, I made a bananas foster recipe for the topping. It wasn't nearly as healthy as the original recipe but it was delicious!
Absolutely delicious! Made kinda bananas foster added nutmeg, cloves, and a little cream of tarter with brown sugar. Cut banana in half and put slices on top towards the end of the quinoa being fully cooked. Amazinggggg!!! Great quick, sweet power snack!

This was very good and super easy. I did not have any bananas on hand so I cut an apple up and used that instead.

Nice, easy, and something different. I made 2 changes to the recipe due to what was in my pantry. I replaced pecans with chopped almonds and used full-fat coconut milk. Very tasty, but I would have trouble eating a full portion in one meal. Way too much food, but a nice alternative to cereal.

I didn't like the coconut milk as much as I thought I would. The texture was nice though. Thanks for sharing.

This was a really good breakfast alternative. I would most def make it again. When I try it again I will play with the fruits that I put in. Also, my husband and I are excited to try it with some of out fresh blueberries and strawberries.
