This is not a recipe for anyone who likes to tweak them. Do exactly as the recipe says or else you end up with two solidified layers instead of one proper cube. The mixture may look a little too liquified but don’t worry.
However, the one thing you can change about this is the gelatin. Change it for about one box of jelly powder. The gelatin will clump, while jelly will equal itself out in the mixture.
So remember: don’t sweat about not solidifying! I learned that the hard way. Just follow the instructions.
P.S. This recipe shouldn’t be made in too large a quantity. By the time the first layer cools off, the second layer has already solidified. Keep it at about 4-5 cups of liquid.
