- 2 green onions (aka Spring Onion Bulbs and stalks separate)
- 1 Tbsp. oil
- 1 Tbsp. ginger garlic paste (or chopped fine, ration ⅓ and ⅔ Garlic)
- 1 star anise
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 5 cups water (mixed with concentrated Stock, *see Notes)
- 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp. rice vinegar (or other mild vinegar variety)
- 1 lime
- sesame seeds (or Sesame Oil to garnish, optional)
- pepper flakes (to garnish, optional)
