- 1 Tbsp. fresh ginger (peeled and minced)
- 1 tsp. turmeric (I used powdered)
- 1/4 tsp. canela
- 1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper (or to taste, optional)
- fine grain sea salt
- black pepper
- 6 cups water (or 4 cups vegetable broth + 2 cups water)
- 2 cups kale (de-stemmed and torn in pieces)
- 1 cup purple cabbage (chopped)
- 1/2 lemon (a small, or a whole lemon, depending how much lemon flavor you prefer)

Only used 1/4 tsp tumeric powder. used 1/4 tsp cayenne powder. and extra veggies. wow. Amazing! used green and purple cabbage. added mushrooms when i reheated it on day 2. 🙌🔥

Easy to make, tasty, colorful. Felt I was doing good to my body, cells, and immune system. Used only 4.5 cups of water total. Will use less next time though.

I am seriously in LOVE with this soup. The ginger, turmeric, lemon, all the scrumptious veggies. It’s to die for. And cheap to make! I didn’t have kale on hand, but it still tastes perfect,

I love this soup! I am making it every weekend - one pot makes about five lunches for me. I feel like I am getting a goodly feed of the veggies I need - makes me feel virtuous, and the flavor is great. Love the combination of spices.

Lots of work but worth it, soup looks and tastes so healthy! Not spicy, nice blend of flavours and the house smells awesome!
