- 1/2 tsp. coarse kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp. cracked black pepper (freshly)
- 4 thyme sprigs
- 2 garlic cloves (partially crushed)
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- steak (Note: This technique creates a great mouth-watering charred, using a very hot skillet while emitting a great deal of smoke. Be prepared with pot holders and proper ventilation.)

Great! I added garlic pepper seasoning, paprika and onion powder for a nice sear. I prefer a medium well steak.

I will never make steak another way again this recipe is amazing I like my steaks MW so I left in oven longer but meat was still super tinder
