Great sipping. Nothing is overpowering. Used a smoked simple syrup. Great twist to flavors.

Tasty drink! Used Michters Bourbon. Smooth and aromatic. Not too sweet and I prefer my bourbon neat.

I like this recipe but I left out the teaspoon of water because I knew the ice would melt when stirring it really cold. I also used two pieces of orange peel and I muddled a cube of tourbenado sugar with one of the peels rather than using simple syrup. The tourbenado sugar cube adds a warm taste and the muddled orange releases the oil.

Perfect! I also tried it smashing a cube of raw sugar whit black walnut bitter and fresh basil (I did not use simple syrup).

Had to use triple sec rather than simple syrup and orange slice but still enjoyed it very much. The fresh cherries makes all the difference. Wish I had oranges.
