- 2 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 cup plain bread crumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. McCormick Onion Powder
- 1/2 tsp. McCormick Garlic Powder
- 1/2 tsp. McCormick Black Pepper (Ground)
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 cup ketchup

Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix ground beef, bread crumbs, egg and seasonings in large bowl.
- Shape into a loaf on shallow baking pan. Pour ketchup over top.
- Bake 55 to 60 minutes or until cooked through. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.

Classic! Good basic recipe to make your own. I prefer a can of tomato sauce with a sprinkle of Italian herbs on top, so that's what I do. Easy to make ahead and freeze and thaw (raw or cooked).

Just took out of the oven, & it sliced to perfection. Only ketchup that drips on the cookie sheet will burn. The ketchup on the loaf itself won’t 🙂 TIP: use a deeper cookie sheet for baking your loaf!! It WILL create ALOT of excess oil‼️

Dang it. I put the whole cup of ketchup in the hamburger while mixing. I'll let yall know how it comes out! I'll put a real rating once I've tried it

Mine came out perfect" i love the way it taste. I put a sprinkle of basil over the ketchup. i love basil, but i did'nt put the ketchup on the meat until 3/4 done. good recipe.

Great recipe! We added double the amout of spices to give it more kick and cooked it in the oven without the ketchup on top. I would definitely recommend.
