- 2 Tbsp. olive oil

- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/4 cup red wine
- 400 grams crushed tomatoes
- 1/4 cup tomato paste
- 2 Tbsp. worcestershire sauce
- 1 Tbsp. oregano
- 1 Tbsp. brown sugar (add more if sauce is very sour)
- 4 carrots (grated, optional)
- salt (To Taste)
- black pepper (To Taste, crushed)
- 50 grams all-purpose flour
- 50 grams butter
- 600 mL milk
- 1 pinch nutmeg
- 1/2 onion
- 2 pieces cloves
- 1 piece bay leaf
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)

Turned out great. First time making lazzanya, but not my first time making the individual parts of the recipe. Still, easy to follow, low pressure, much quicker to make than I figured it’d be.

Great recipe, loved the bechamel sauce, and will use this as my go to lasagne recipe. I changed it up a bit to make my husband happy. I skipped the carrots and had to add a layer of ricotta & mozzarella, I know probably not necessary with the bechamel, but it was delicious. I added anise to the meat sauce.
