Turned out yummy and moist. I subbed coconut oil for the vegetable oil, and did 1/2 c milk plus 1 T lemon juice with 1/2 c nonfat vanilla yogurt instead of the 1 c. buttermilk. Also sprinkled a little raw sugar on top. My husband's favorite muffin is bran and he really liked these!

Made this recipe as written, except used 1/2 dates, 1/2 raisin combo (heaping 1/2 c. Total). They seem lacking in flavor a little, but for how simple the recipe is, I will probably revisit. I may add some additional sweetener. Cooked 18 minutes at 375 in muffin liners, and the moisture was perfect.

These bran muffins are great !!! Have been looking for recipe that is moist, not dry, as some bran muffins can be. Have made these several times, I also add a chopped apple to batter, jus to change it up sometimes, thanx for sharing, good recipe !!!
