- 3 lb. halibut (sea bass, or other firm white fish, cut into inch-long cubes)
- 2 lb. Dungeness crab (or more cooked, hard shell)
- 1 lb. large shrimp (or more of)
- 2 lb. little neck clams (and/or mussels, mussels should be scrubbed clean and beards removed right before cooking)
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1 1/2 cups chopped onion (1 large onion)
- 1 cup chopped bell pepper (1 large bell pepper)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tsp. salt
- 28 oz. tomatoes
- broth (from the mollusks)
- 2 cups red wine
- 2 cups tomato juice
- 2 cups fish (or shellfish stock)
- bouquet
- parsley
- basil
- salt
- pepper
- 1/2 cup parsley (minced, for garnish, optional)
- 1 dash Tabasco Sauce (and or Worcestershire sauce, optional)

Made it for feast of the 7 fishes. Substituted crab for crawfish and fish for squid. I did not have any fish stock so I used vegetable stock instead and just poured the whole bottle of wine in. This was a hit! Don’t get discouraged from the list of ingredients! I had other dishes but it fed about 8 people with plenty of time leftovers!

to die for. try it and you'll wonder why you haven't been making it for years. pricey but worth every penny. make your own stock from leftover shrimp and crab shells, it's 100 times better than store bought
