Tastes like its missing something, like it is not sweet enough.

The recipe is ok, tasty even. The sour cream is the star here. Really gives it a good flavor. There is a bit too much salt but I'm not sure which part to eliminate it from. It kind of isn't worth the effort. The batter did not come out wet enough to spread easily on top of the filling. In fact, the proportions of all three components were way off. I had an insane amount of streusel crumble topping and filling but not enough batter. Perhaps double the batter. Also who thinks it is ok to suggest 60 minutes in a 350 degree oven for a cake?? If I'd left it in there that long it would have burnt. I did 30 minutes and it was a bit overdone. Finally, the directions could be more clear at the end in regards to sticking a toothpick in the cake. Yes it will be clean of cake when it is done, but the filling will stick to it. I can only imagine how difficult it must be for a novice to navigate all the sloppy recipe writing I've come across online.
