- 5 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 3/4 Tbsp. canela (or cardamom/coriander, if that's your preference)
- 1 Tbsp. unbleached all purpose flour
- 3 Tbsp. Earth Balance (melted, or your preferred oil)
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
- 1 1/2 cups almond milk
- 3 Tbsp. pure cane sugar (or agave nectar or other sweetener of your choice)
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch (I use non-GMO; Rumford brand is affordable.)
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder (aluminum-free, I used Rumford brand.)
