- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 cup sugar

- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 2/3 cup buttermilk
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 2 sticks butter (room temperature)
- 2 cups icing sugar (sifted)
- 37.5 grams ovaltine (classic malt powder)
- 1/2 Tbsp. vanilla extract
- 1 pinch salt
- 125 grams sweet chocolate (dark or semi-, melted and cooled)
- 60 mL whipping cream
- 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks, softened)
- 4 cups sugar (confectioners', well sifted)
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla extract
- 4 Tbsp. milk (or heavy cream, I used heavy cream since we were out of milk)
- fresh lemon juice (squirt)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
